Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Rare Rides NZ website (www.rarerides.co.nz). Rare Rides NZ is not a registered business; it is a website operated by Will J’s Workshop NZ Limited, a registered New Zealand company. All services provided through Rare Rides NZ are provided by and on behalf of Will J’s Workshop NZ Limited.

About Rare Rides NZ

Rare Rides NZ is a platform that:

  • Showcases rare and classic rides in association with Will J’s Workshop
  • Provides a listing service for individuals wishing to advertise rare or unique rides for sale
  • Publishes video content and entertainment features about rare and quirky rides

Rare Rides NZ does not sell vehicles and is not a licensed motor vehicle dealer. We are not a party to any transaction between a buyer and a seller arising from a listing on our website.

Vehicle Listings

Who Can List

Any individual or entity wishing to advertise a rare or unique ride for sale may submit a request which will be subject to our approval.

Submitting a Listing

By submitting a listing, you:

  • Confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle described, or are authorised to advertise it for sale
  • Warrant that all information provided is accurate, truthful, and not misleading
  • Confirm that the vehicle is legally available for sale in New Zealand
  • Consent to the listing details (including your nominated contact information) being published on the website and on our associated social media sites
  • Accept that we may edit the formatting or presentation of your listing for consistency

Content Standards and Warranties

All listing content must comply with New Zealand law, including the Fair Trading Act 1986. By submitting an advertisement, you warrant that it:

  • Include malware, harmful code, or spam
  • Complies with all New Zealand laws, including the Fair Trading Act 1986 and the Advertising Standards Authority Codes
  • Is truthful, non-misleading, not offensive or deceptive and not defamatory
  • Does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
  • Does not contain malware, viruses, spam or harmful tracking code

Our Right to Refuse or Remove Listings

We reserve the absolute right to refuse, cancel, edit, or remove any listing at any time without notice or liability if we believe it breaches these Terms, any applicable law, or is otherwise inconsistent with our brand and values.

No Guarantee of Sale

We do not guarantee that your listing will result in any enquiries, offers, or a sale. We provide the listing service on an ‘as is’ basis.

Transactions Are Your Responsibility

Any transaction arising from a listing on Rare Rides NZ is solely between the buyer and the seller. We are not responsible for:

  • The accuracy of any listing or the condition of any item described
  • The conduct of any buyer or seller
  • Any loss, damage, or dispute arising from a transaction

We strongly encourage buyers to inspect items in person and conduct their own due diligence before purchasing.

Video Content, Entertainment & Intellectual Property

Rare Rides NZ publishes video content and articles about rare and quirky vehicles for entertainment and informational purposes. All content on the Rare Rides NZ website – including text, images, video, logos, and designs is the property of Will J’s Workshop NZ Limited and may not be reproduced or distributed without our prior written permission.

Content is published at our discretion. We do not guarantee the frequency, accuracy, or continued availability of any video or editorial content.

Advertising on Rare Rides NZ

Where advertising is offered on Rare Rides NZ, the following terms apply in addition to any specific booking terms:

Payment & Cancellations

All advertising rates are in NZD. Payment is due in advance of placement. No refunds are provided for cancellations. If creative material is not provided by the agreed deadline, the full booking fee may still apply.

Liability

Our liability for any error in an advertisement is limited to a make-good (re-running the advertisement) or a refund of the price paid for that specific placement. You agree to indemnify us against any costs, losses, or legal fees arising from your advertisement.

User Conduct

By using this website, you agree not to:

  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or content
  • Harass, threaten, or defame any other user
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
  • Use the website in any way that could damage or impair its functionality

Disclaimer

This website is provided on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied.

Limitation of Liability
